About Me!
Hi! I'm Jessica "Jay" Baskett. I'm a 2D Animator, Illustrator, and Story Artist - and a fourth-year student in SJSU's Animation/Illustration program.Fifteen years of ballet dance instilled in me a love of performance, an unbreakable work ethic, and a fondness for the dramatic. In my personal work, I enjoy character-driven stories, and I often find myself using fantasy, myth, and horror as vehicles for political and/or social commentary. In my free time, you'll probably find me re-listening to my favorite musicals, writing poetry, or out grabbing a boba tea.Currently available for internships and freelance opportunities!
